Normative ethics involves arriving at moral standards that regulate right and wrong conduct. The Golden Rule is a classic example of a normative principle: We should do to others what we would want others to do to us. Since I do not want my neighbor to steal my car, then it is wrong for me to steal her car.

For example, a grammarian might have explained that you should ‘never end a sentence with a preposition’ or that starting a sentence with a conjunction like ‘And’ or ‘But’ is a big no-no. This type of reference, which tells you how to speak so-called ‘correct’ English, can be referred to as a prescriptive grammar.
Descriptive Analytics tells you what happened in the past. Diagnostic Analytics helps you understand why something happened in the past. Predictive Analytics predicts what is most likely to happen in the future. Prescriptive Analytics recommends actions you can take to affect those outcomes.
Normative decision theory models the most ideal decision for a given situation. In normative theory, an actor is assumed to be fully rational. Normative decisions always try to find the highest expected value outcome. A fully rational actor is capable of arriving at the highest expected value with perfect accuracy.
Prescriptive questions: These are questions that ask what we should do about a particular development challenge. “What intervention would be most appropriate in this context for increasing grade level 3 child literacy rates?” is and example of a prescriptive question.

Prescriptive analytics focuses on finding the best course of action in a scenario, given the available data. Prescriptive analytics gathers data from a variety of both descriptive and predictive sources for its models and applies them to the process of decision-making.

Behavioral Approach- This is an approach to psychology that focuses on how one’s environment and how external stimuli affect a person’s mental states and development and how these factors specifically “train” a person for the behaviors they will be exhibiting later on.

The definition of approach refers to the process of going towards something. Approach is defined as the way you handle something. If you like to face problems head-on to deal with them, that is an example of a direct approach to problems.
The Four Approaches to Leadership- The four approaches to leadership are said to be Traits, skills, behavioral, and situational. The trait approach of leadership is uncommon to the other approaches, as it emphasizes exclusively on the leader, rather than the followers or the situation.
Systems approach is based on the generalization that everything is inter-related and interdependent. A system is composed of related and dependent element which when in interaction, forms a unitary whole. A system is simply an assemblage or combination of things or parts forming a complex whole.
According to Ludwig von Bertlanffy, there are two basic types of systems: closed systems and open systems. Closed system are not influenced by and do not interact with their environments. Open systems interact with their environment. All organizations are open systems, although the degree of interaction may vary.
