A forest is an area of land dominated by trees. Hundreds of definitions of forest are used throughout the world, incorporating factors such as tree density, tree height, land use, legal standing and ecological function.
A jungle is an area that’s densely overgrown with trees and tangled vegetation, usually in a warm place with a high rainfall. Their floors are thick with vines, shrubbery, and tons and tons of insects, making it super difficult to make your way through one.
Jungles are overgrown with wild tangles of vegetation and dense forest. Jungles and rainforests are similar, but while rainforests have thick canopies of tall trees that block out light, jungles allow more light in, making it easier for plants to grow. Jungles are usually in warm places with high rainfall.

A jungle is land covered with dense forest and tangled vegetation, usually in tropical climates. Application of the term has varied greatly during the past recent centuries. Before the 1970s, tropical forests were generally referred to as jungles, but this terminology has fallen out of usage.
The Jungle is about human greed and the social damage it does. The novel uses a jungle to symbolize unrestrained longing for something. From this perspective, it makes sense to name a novel about out-of-control lust for money using a symbol for hunger and desire.
The rainforest is teeming with animals and insects, so you would hear a concert of humming, thrumming, buzzing and chirping. Frogs, cicadas, howler monkeys, and birds make some of the loudest rainforest sounds. Some of these have cries that reach up to 130 decibels, which is louder than a military jet!
Lions have famously acquired the title of ‘King of the Jungle’. However, the title is a little misleading as lions don’t actually live in jungles (and as we found out earlier, they don’t have kings!). Their habits include scrubland, grasslands, savannahs and rocky hills, but not jungles.
